How to choose gemstone spheres

• Measure the size in millimetres: 40mm fits in a palm, 60mm+ is a display piece.
• Natural stones vary in colour and inclusions.
• A stand stops it rolling; check whether one is included.

Using and caring for them

• Display it on its stand away from the edge of a shelf.
• Try a few minutes of quiet gazing, letting your thoughts settle.
• Keep spheres out of strong sunlight: a clear sphere can focus light like a lens.
• Handle with dry hands and set it down on a soft surface.
