What it is
Egyptian Sacred Animals Oracle Cards is a card deck for reflection and divination. Unlike tarot, oracle decks set their own number of cards and meanings, explained in the guidebook.
The Sacral chakra, Svadhisthana in Sanskrit, sits at just below the navel in yogic tradition and is associated with creativity, pleasure and flow. Its traditional colour is orange, its element is water and its seed sound (bija mantra) is VAM.
From the maker: After the incredible success of Egyptian Tarot and Egyptian Gods Oracle Cards, Silvana Alasia returns to the banks of the Nile with a new deck dedicated to the ancient custom of animal worship. Every card in this Oracle looks like an ancient papyrus scroll taken from a sacred bestiary, portraying a real or a mythological creature that was venerated at the time of the pharaohs, helping the reader to channel its energy and qualities into his or her life.
Materials and size
Size: approximately 13.5 x 10 x 3cm, weighing about 290g. Allow for small variations between batches.
Traditional uses
Card divination has many forms, from Lenormand to modern oracle decks; each deck defines its own system. A single daily card used as a journal prompt is one of the most favourite ways to use an oracle deck. We share these as cultural traditions and personal beliefs only, never as health claims.
How to use it
To work with the Sacral Chakra, many practitioners play or place it while focusing on just below the navel.
Shuffle, draw one card and read its meaning in the guidebook.
Write down what it brings to mind for the day ahead.
Try a three-card draw for a gentle check-in: what to keep, what to release, what to explore.
At the new moon, draw a card as a theme for the month ahead and revisit it at the full moon.
Daily idea: draw a single card each morning and jot down one word it brings to mind.
Learning idea: work through the major arcana one card a day for 22 days.
Gifting idea: decks make lovely gifts; the folklore that you mustn't buy your own deck is just folklore.
Care
Keep the deck in its box away from damp.
