Traditional uses
Today many readers use tarot for reflection: the imagery acts as a prompt to think through a question rather than a prediction. Tarot began as a 15th-century Italian card game; it was adopted for divination in 18th-century France and shaped by the Golden Dawn in Victorian London. Traditional meanings are offered for interest and reflection, not as a health claim.
