Materials and size
Size: approximately 14cm. Allow for small variations between batches.
Traditional uses
In meditation and sound practice, the bowl's fading tone is used as a focal point, and bowls are often played at the beginning and end of a session. We share these as cultural traditions and personal beliefs only, never as health claims.
How to use it
Tap the outside wall with care with the mallet to wake the bowl.
Circle the rim slowly with even pressure; once it starts to sing, keep the speed steady.
Display idea: between sessions, a bowl on its cushion makes a striking shelf or altar piece.
Session idea: strike once at the start of a meditation and let the tone fade completely before you begin.
Yoga idea: teachers often sound a bowl or bells to open savasana or to mark the close of class.
Care
Store somewhere dry and away from hard objects that could dent the rim.
Who it suits
A good choice for someone who enjoys quiet rituals. At £60.00 it's a statement piece, and it ships free.
