What it is
Calming Crystal Candle with Rough Amethyst is a ritual candle made to be lit with an intention in mind. Many spell candles include crystal chips, herbs or a printed theme.
From the maker: Calm the senses and promote inner strength with this Calming Crystal Candle. Shaped like a purple crystal tower, this candle offers up to 30 hours of burn time to gradually reveal a rough amethyst crystal hidden at the bottom.
Materials and size
Size: approximately 15.5 x 7.5 x 7cm, weighing about 435g. Allow for small variations between batches.
Traditional uses
Many practitioners time a candle to the moon, lighting it at the new moon for beginnings or the full moon for gratitude. Candle magic is one of the simplest folk-magic practices: a candle is chosen by colour or theme, an intention is set, and the candle is lit and left to burn safely. Its name comes from the Greek amethystos, 'not intoxicated', and in older European tradition it was carried as a stone of sobriety and calm thinking. Today it is one of the most popular stones for a quiet corner or meditation shelf. We share these as cultural traditions and personal beliefs only, never as health claims.
How to use it
Rest it on a heat-proof plate or holder on a stable surface.
Trim the wick to around 5mm before lighting.
Burn it away from draughts, curtains, children and pets, and never leave it unattended.
If it contains crystal chips, retrieve them from the wax once cool.
Ritual idea: write your intention on a slip of paper, read it aloud, then light the candle or incense.
Moon idea: the new moon is the traditional time for beginnings and the full moon for gratitude and release.
Evening idea: light it as you switch off screens for the night, a simple cue to wind down.
Care
Store candles flat, somewhere cool and out of sunlight so the colour doesn't fade.
Who it suits
A good choice for anyone new to ritual who wants a simple starting point.
