Traditional uses
In meditation practice, a bowl is struck at the start and end of a sitting, and the fading tone is used as a point of focus. Singing bowls are associated with the Himalayan region, including Nepal, Tibet and northern India, where metal bowls have long been made by hand-hammering or casting. Traditional meanings are offered for interest and reflection, never as a health or medical claim.
