What it is
Black Rose Candle with 3D Roses is a ritual candle made to be lit with an intention in mind. Many spell candles include crystal chips, herbs or a printed theme.
Rose has been the scent of love since antiquity; in Sufi and Christian devotion it is linked with the divine and with the Virgin Mary. The fragrance is soft, floral and sweet.
The gothic rose draws on cathedral rose windows and the Victorian language of flowers, where a dark rose meant farewell or deep love.
Black is the traditional colour of protection and of banishing what is unwanted. Styling: black looks dramatic on a gothic altar and crisp against white walls.
From the maker: Bring elegance to your home with this rose-scented candle, shaped like a delicate black rose with intricate 3D detailing. Perfect for creating a moody, gothic atmosphere, it’s a stunning centrepiece or thoughtful gift.
Materials and size
Size: approximately 9 x 8 x 8cm, weighing about 440g. Allow for small variations between batches.
Traditional uses
Many practitioners time a candle to the moon, lighting it at the new moon for beginnings or the full moon for gratitude. Candle magic is one of the simplest folk-magic practices: a candle is chosen by colour or theme, an intention is set, and the candle is lit and left to burn safely. These are traditions and beliefs, described for interest, not health or medical claims.
How to use it
Burn it away from draughts, curtains, children and pets, and never leave it unattended.
If it contains crystal chips, retrieve them from the wax once cool.
Set it on a heat-proof plate or holder on a stable spot.
Trim the wick to around 5mm before lighting.
Journalling idea: note the date, the moon phase and what you wished for, and look back a month later.
Storage: keep spares somewhere cool and dark so colours and scents stay fresh.
Ritual idea: write your intention on a slip of paper, read it aloud, then light the candle or incense.
Care
Store candles flat, somewhere cool and out of sunlight so the colour doesn't fade.
