What it is
Angels and Ancestors Oracle Cards is a card deck for reflection and divination. Unlike tarot, oracle decks set their own number of cards and meanings, explained in the guidebook.
Angels as winged messengers appear in Jewish, Christian and Islamic tradition and are a popular symbol of guardianship.
From the maker: The Angels and Ancestors Oracle card deck by Kyle Cray includes a 55-card deck and 150 page guidebook. This deck will bridge the gap between heaven and earth by enlisting the power of higher beings from around the world.
Materials and size
Size: approximately 13.7 x 10 x 4.3cm, weighing about 455g. Allow for small variations between batches.
Traditional uses
Many readers keep an oracle deck beside a tarot deck, drawing one oracle card to sum up a tarot spread. Card divination has many forms, from Lenormand to modern oracle decks; each deck defines its own system. We share these as cultural traditions and personal beliefs only, never as health claims.
How to use it
Read the artwork first and the guidebook second; your own first impression is part of the practice.
Shuffle, draw one card and read its meaning in the guidebook.
Write down what it brings to mind for the day ahead.
Try a three-card draw for a gentle check-in: what to keep, what to release, what to explore.
Care idea: shuffle on a cloth to protect card edges.
Spread idea: a three-card spread (situation, challenge, advice) is a gentle place to start.
Journalling idea: keep a reading journal and revisit it at the next new moon.
Care
Keep the deck in its box away from damp.
Who it suits
Ideal for people who want a gentler start than tarot.
