Magic Spell Candles

Magic Spell Candles: 12 items from £11.20. Candle magic is one of the simplest folk-magic practices: a candle is chosen by colour or theme, an intention is set, and the candle is lit and left to burn safely.

How to choose spell and ritual candles

  • Choose by theme or colour that means something to you.
  • Check the burn time and size on each listing.
  • Always use a heat-proof holder; embedded crystals and herbs need extra care.

Using and caring for them

  • Place it on a heat-proof plate or holder on a stable surface.
  • Trim the wick to around 5mm before lighting.
  • Burn it away from draughts, curtains, children and pets, and never leave it unattended.
  • If it contains crystal chips, retrieve them from the wax once cool.
  • Store candles flat, somewhere cool and out of sunlight so the colour doesn't fade.

Colour associations are traditional and vary between practices; for example green with abundance, pink with love, white with new beginnings and black with protection. Many practitioners time a candle to the moon, lighting it at the new moon for beginnings or the full moon for gratitude. Traditions are described for interest; we make no health claims.

Magic Spell Candles: questions

How do you use a spell candle?

Set an intention, place the candle on a heat-proof holder, and light it. Many people let it burn in one sitting while supervised. These are traditional practices.

What do candle colours mean in magic?

Colour meanings are traditional associations that vary between practices: white is often linked with beginnings, green with abundance, pink with love and black with protection.

When is the best time to light a ritual candle?

Many practitioners use the new moon for intentions and the full moon for gratitude. Our Moon Room shows tonight's phase.

Are crystal candles safe?

Treat them like any candle: heat-proof surface, no draughts, never unattended. Crystal chips can get hot, so let the wax cool before retrieving them.

How much do magic spell candles cost?

Our magic spell candles range from £11.20 to £11.20. UK delivery is £3.95, free on orders over £40, and usually arrives in 2–5 working days.
