What it is
Zodiac Zest Libra Coconut & Sea Salt Candle is a scented candle themed on a star sign.
Coconut is a sacred offering in Hindu worship, broken at temple gates and at the start of new ventures. The fragrance is creamy, sweet and tropical.
Libra (23 September – 22 October) is the cardinal air sign, ruled by Venus and pictured as the scales; astrology links it with harmony and fairness.
From the maker: Balance sweet coconut with fresh sea salt in this colourful Libra zodiac candle, creating an easy-going fragrance suited to the sign of the scales. Made from paraffin wax with an approximately 35-hour burn time.
Materials and size
Size: approximately 9 x 8 x 8cm, weighing about 455g. Allow for small variations between batches.
Traditional uses
Astrology links each of the twelve signs with an element, a ruling planet and traditional traits. A sign candle is a personal way to mark a birthday or a new solar year. Lots of practitioners light their sign's candle on their birthday or when the sun enters their sign, as a small ritual of reflection. We share these as cultural traditions and personal beliefs only, never as health claims.
How to use it
Retrieve crystals or jewellery only when the wax is completely cool.
Never leave a lit flame unattended, and keep it away from curtains, children and pets.
Trim the wick to 5mm and burn on a heat-proof base.
Let the first burn melt the spot edge to edge to steer clear of tunnelling.
Evening idea: light it as you switch off screens for the night, a simple cue to wind down.
Safety: always use a heat-proof holder on a stable surface, away from curtains, children and pets.
Ventilation: a slightly open window keeps scent pleasant and smoke light.
Care
Store away from sunlight so the colour doesn't fade.
Who it suits
