What it is
Witch Hat With Cat Incense Cone Holder is a holder that keeps burning incense steady and catches the falling ash.
Black cats were the familiars of witches in British folklore; sailors and many in Britain still count a black cat crossing your path as good luck.
It is cast in resin and hand-painted, which keeps it light and allows fine detail; display it indoors.
From the maker: A witch hat with a cat design incense cone burner. When the cone is burning, the smoke rises from the top of the hat.
Materials and size
Size: approximately 11 x 10 x 10cm, weighing about 220g. Allow for small variations between batches.
Traditional uses
Backflow cones have a hollow core: the cooling smoke is heavier than air, so it sinks and pours over the burner's channels. Incense holders have taken many forms, from Chinese bronze censers to the boat-shaped ash catchers of Indian homes. Traditional meanings are offered for interest and reflection, not as a health claim.
How to use it
Place on a heat-proof surface away from draughts, which break up the flow of smoke.
Empty ash once cool.
Never leave a lit flame unattended, and keep it away from curtains, children and pets.
Use backflow cones for the waterfall effect; ordinary cones and sticks smoke upward.
Safety: always use a heat-proof holder on a stable surface, away from curtains, children and pets.
Ventilation: a slightly open window keeps scent pleasant and smoke light.
Gifting idea: pair it with a matching crystal or a holder for a ready-made ritual gift.
Care
Wipe resin build-up with a damp cloth once cool; a cotton bud reaches small channels.
