Dragon's blood is a deep red resin from Dracaena and Daemonorops trees; ancient Romans used it as a dye and varnish, and in folk magic it is burned to strengthen any ritual. The fragrance is warm, sweet and slightly spicy.

Dragons appear worldwide in myth, from Wales's red dragon to the wise rain-bringing dragons of China.

Satya is the incense house of Shrinivas Sugandhalaya, founded in Bangalore in 1964 and famous for its Nag Champa; its sticks are hand-rolled in the masala style.
