What it is
Blue Moon Vanilla & Coconut Candle is a ritual candle made to be lit with an intention in mind. Many spell candles include crystal chips, herbs or a printed theme.
Coconut is a sacred offering in Hindu worship, broken at temple gates and at the start of new ventures. The fragrance is creamy, sweet and tropical.
Blue is associated with calm, the sea and the throat chakra, and with peace and honest speech in candle magic. Styling: blue tones suit coastal, Scandinavian and white-washed rooms, and look calm beside green plants.
From the maker: Fill your space with a soft, creamy blend of vanilla and coconut using this celestial candle. Perfect for quiet evenings or gifting to lovers of moonlit nights.
Materials and size
Size: approximately 9 x 8 x 8cm, weighing about 460g. Allow for small variations between batches.
Traditional uses
Many practitioners time a candle to the moon, lighting it at the new moon for beginnings or the full moon for gratitude. Candle magic is one of the simplest folk-magic practices: a candle is chosen by colour or theme, an intention is set, and the candle is lit and left to burn safely. Traditional meanings are offered for interest and reflection, not as a health claim.
How to use it
Trim the wick to around 5mm before lighting.
Burn it away from draughts, curtains, children and pets, and never leave it unattended.
If it contains crystal chips, retrieve them from the wax once cool.
Place it on a heat-proof plate or holder on a stable surface.
Storage: keep spares somewhere cool and dark so colours and scents stay fresh.
Ritual idea: write your intention on a slip of paper, read it aloud, then light the candle or incense.
Moon idea: the new moon is the traditional time for beginnings and the full moon for gratitude and release.
Care
Store candles flat, somewhere cool and out of sunlight so the colour doesn't fade.
Who it suits
It suits anyone new to ritual who wants a simple starting point.
