The cauldron is the vessel of transformation in Celtic myth, from the cauldron of Cerridwen to the Dagda's cauldron of plenty. It is made from glazed ceramic, so wipe it clean rather than scrubbing and handle it with care. From the maker: This oil burner has been inspired by a black cauldron design with cut-out star details and 'Witches Brew' text. A great gift idea for anyone with an interest in witchcraft or wizardry. Size: approximately 10 x 13 x 9.5cm, weighing about 260g. Allow for small variations between batches. ## Traditions (belief, not health claims) Scenting a room with warmed oils has ancient roots: Egyptian, Greek and Roman homes burned perfumed oils in clay lamps. In modern home ritual, a favourite scent marks a change of mood, such as lighting the burner when work ends for the day. Traditional meanings are offered for interest and reflection, not as a health claim. ## How to use - Stand it on a heat-proof base; the dish gets hot. - Never leave a lit flame unattended, and keep it away from curtains, children and pets. - Fill the dish with water, then add a few drops of oil, or drop one wax melt in the dish without water. - Light a tealight underneath and never let the dish run dry. - Evening idea: light it as you switch off screens for the night, a simple cue to wind down. - Safety: always use a heat-proof holder on a stable surface, away from curtains, children and pets. - Ventilation: a slightly open window keeps scent pleasant and smoke light. ## Care - Let it cool fully before cleaning. For wax, freeze the dish for ten minutes and the wax pops out. ## Policies - Delivery: UK delivery £3.95, free over £40, 2–5 working days.
