The cauldron is the vessel of transformation in Celtic myth, from the cauldron of Cerridwen to the Dagda's cauldron of plenty. It is made from glazed ceramic, so wipe it clean rather than scrubbing and handle it with care. From the maker: Add a classic touch to the home with this ceramic cauldron oil burner and wax warmer, featuring “Witches Brew, Homemade” wording for a traditional themed look. Designed in a familiar cauldron shape, it’s perfect for Halloween displays or for anyone who enjoys characterful home fragrance pieces. Size: approximately 10 x 13 x 11cm, weighing about 275g. Allow for small variations between batches. ## Traditions (belief, not health claims) Scenting a room with warmed oils has ancient roots: Egyptian, Greek and Roman homes burned perfumed oils in clay lamps. In modern home ritual, a favourite scent marks a change of mood, such as lighting the burner when work ends for the day. These are traditions and beliefs, described for interest, not health or medical claims. ## How to use - Fill the dish with water, then add a few drops of oil, or drop one wax melt in the dish without water. - Light a tealight underneath and never let the dish run dry. - Stand it on a heat-proof surface; the dish gets hot. - Never leave a lit flame unattended, and keep it away from curtains, children and pets. - Ritual idea: write your intention on a slip of paper, read it aloud, then light the candle or incense. - Moon idea: the new moon is the traditional time for beginnings and the full moon for gratitude and release. - Evening idea: light it as you switch off screens for the night, a simple cue to wind down. ## Care - Let it cool fully before cleaning. For wax, freeze the dish for ten minutes and the wax pops out. ## Policies - Delivery: UK delivery £3.95, free over £40, 2–5 working days.
