The crescent is the waxing or waning moon, a symbol of growth and change and of moon goddesses such as Selene and Diana. Yellow and gold are sun colours, associated with confidence, joy and success. Styling: yellow and gold catch the light on a sunny shelf and lift a north-facing room. It is made from glazed ceramic, so wipe it clean rather than scrubbing and handle it with care. From the maker: This enchanting white crescent moon oil burner has been designed to enhance the home with a dreamy, magical midnight atmosphere. Fill the hanging bowl with fragrance oil in a mystical scent and watch as the cut out star details cast a celestial glow, adding an ethereal touch to your space. Size: approximately 13.5 x 13.5 x 7.5cm, weighing about 240g. Allow for small variations between batches. ## Traditions (belief, not health claims) In modern home ritual, a favourite scent marks a change of mood, such as lighting the burner when work ends for the day. Scenting a room with warmed oils has ancient roots: Egyptian, Greek and Roman homes burned perfumed oils in clay lamps. We share these as cultural traditions and personal beliefs only, never as health claims. ## How to use - Light a tealight underneath and never let the dish run dry. - Stand it on a heat-proof surface; the dish gets hot. - Never leave a lit flame unattended, and keep it away from curtains, children and pets. - Fill the dish with water, then add a few drops of oil, or drop one wax melt in the dish without water. - Safety: always use a heat-proof holder on a stable surface, away from curtains, children and pets. - Ventilation: a slightly open window keeps scent pleasant and smoke light. - Gifting idea: pair it with a matching crystal or a holder for a ready-made ritual gift. ## Care - Let it cool fully before cleaning. For wax, freeze the dish for ten minutes and the wax pops out. ## Policies - Delivery: UK delivery £3.95, free over £40, 2–5 working days.
