Lit and left to smoulder, it releases a steady fragrant smoke that fills a room. The crescent is the waxing or waning moon, a symbol of growth and change and of moon goddesses such as Selene and Diana. White stands for new beginnings and cleansing, and can stand in for any other colour in candle magic. Styling: white is the most versatile finish, fitting minimal, Scandi and bohemian rooms alike. From the maker: Relax and unwind with this ceramic incense holder shaped like a crescent moon. Simple and modern in design, this ceramic holder will look chic on a side table or nightstand while catching falling ash. Size: approximately 1.5 x 9 x 10cm, weighing about 75g. Allow for small variations between batches. ## Traditions (belief, not health claims) Backflow and dhoop cones are a newer form: dense, stickless cones that burn quickly with a rich scent, popular for short rituals. Many households light incense at dusk, a custom shared by Hindu, Buddhist and Catholic devotion where evening prayer is marked with fragrant smoke. Traditional meanings are offered for interest and reflection, not as a health claim. ## How to use - Try one scent for a week before switching, so you learn to recognise it. - Keep incense well away from smoke alarms, curtains and bookshelves. - Set a simple intention, then light the incense and blow out the flame. - Use a heat-proof burner or ash catcher. - Ventilation: a slightly open window keeps scent pleasant and smoke light. - Gifting idea: pair it with a matching crystal or a holder for a ready-made ritual gift. - Journalling idea: note the date, the moon phase and what you wished for, and look back a month later. ## Care - Store sealed in a cool, dry set to keep the fragrance fresh. ## Policies - Delivery: UK delivery £3.95, free over £40, 2–5 working days. UK addresses only. - Returns: You can cancel within 14 days of delivery under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations; email hello@starseeduk.co.uk to arrange a return and we refund within 14 days of receiving it back. - Payment: Payment is by debit or credit card (and the wallets Shopify supports) through secure Shopify checkout. ## Questions and answers (19) ### What is the White Crescent Moon Incense Stick Holder used for?
