## Description

Smudge Stick - Ruda Rue Sage 10cm is a hand-tied bundle of dried herbs, about 10cm long. Lit and lightly extinguished, it smoulders and releases aromatic smoke.

Arruda (rue) is a protective herb of Brazilian and Mediterranean folk tradition, often kept behind the ear or by the door to ward off the 'evil eye'. The fragrance is green, herbal and sharp.

At around 10cm this is the mid-sized option: big enough to notice on a shelf, small enough for a desk or windowsill. Mid sizes are the most versatile: they hold a bracelet or a handful of tumbles, or sit happily on a bedside table.

This is one of 7 options in the Smudge Stick range; nearby choices include White Sage, Ginger and Cedar, White Sage & Lavender 22.5cm, White Sage & Ruda 10cm.

Size: approximately 10cm. Allow for small variations between batches.

## Traditions (belief, not health claims)

Burning bundles of sacred herbs is rooted in the ceremonies of Indigenous peoples of the Americas; we encourage learning those origins respectfully. Traditional meanings are offered for interest and reflection, not as a health claim.

## How to use

- Walk the smoke around the space and open a window.
- Extinguish fully by pressing into sand or a dish; never leave it smouldering.
- Journalling idea: note the date, the moon phase and what you wished for, and look back a month later.
- Storage: keep spares somewhere cool and dark so colours and scents stay fresh.
- Ritual idea: write your intention on a slip of paper, read it aloud, then light the candle or incense.

## Care

- Keep it dry and in its wrapper until use.
