The skull is the memento mori of Victorian and medieval art, a reminder to live fully, and a symbol of the ancestors at Samhain and the Day of the Dead. It is cast in resin and hand-painted, which keeps it light and allows fine detail; display it indoors. From the maker: Add a hauntingly beautiful touch to the home with this skull-shaped tealight holder. Featuring a realistic, intricate skull design with a serpent weaving its way through the eye socket, creating a statement and dramatic presence in any space. Size: approximately 5.5 x 7.5 x 6.5cm, weighing about 105g. Allow for small variations between batches. ## Traditions (belief, not health claims) Lighting a candle is one of the most widespread rituals, from church votives and Diwali diyas to a simple candle on a home altar. Votive comes from the Latin votum, a vow: a votive light was lit as an offering or to keep a promise. We share these as cultural traditions and personal beliefs only, never as health claims. ## How to use - Use with tealights or the candle size given on the listing. - Stand it on a stable, heat-proof base. - Never leave a lit flame unattended, and keep it away from curtains, children and pets. - Evening idea: light it as you switch off screens for the night, a simple cue to wind down. - Safety: always use a heat-proof holder on a stable surface, away from curtains, children and pets. - Ventilation: a slightly open window keeps scent pleasant and smoke light. ## Care - Remove old wax once cool; a little warm water helps lift it from glass and ceramic. ## Policies - Delivery: UK delivery £3.95, free over £40, 2–5 working days. UK addresses only. - Returns: You can cancel within 14 days of delivery under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations; email hello@starseeduk.co.uk to arrange a return and we refund within 14 days of receiving it back. - Payment: Payment is by debit or credit card (and the wallets Shopify supports) through secure Shopify checkout. ## Questions and answers (17) ### What is the Skull Tealight Holder with Snake used for?
