## Description

Skull Print Spirit Board is a decorative spirit board printed with the alphabet, numbers and 'yes' and 'no', with a planchette for parlour play.

The skull is the memento mori of Victorian and medieval art, a reminder to live fully, and a symbol of the ancestors at Samhain and the Day of the Dead.

From the maker: A gothic design Skull Print Spirit/Ouija Board. Presented in a designed box with instructions for use.

Size: approximately 1 x 39 x 31cm, weighing about 400g. Allow for small variations between batches.

## Traditions (belief, not health claims)

Today spirit boards are mostly enjoyed as gothic décor, a Halloween game or a curiosity. Whatever you believe, it is treated as entertainment. Talking boards were a Victorian and Edwardian parlour game: the Ouija trademark dates from 1890 in Baltimore, at the height of the Spiritualist movement. We share these as cultural traditions and personal beliefs only, never as health claims.

## How to use

- For a Halloween game, two players rest fingertips lightly on the planchette.
- Hang it as wall art or lay it on a coffee table as a talking point.
- Care idea: dust regularly and keep it away from direct heat and damp.
- Display idea: odd numbers of objects (one, three or five) look most natural on a shelf.
- Storage idea: a box or chest keeps cards, crystals and keepsakes together and dust-free.

## Care

- Wipe with a dry cloth; keep printed surfaces out of strong sun.
