Palo santo, 'holy wood', is from a South American tree and has long been burned in Andean folk ceremony; it is traditionally used to clear a space. The fragrance is sweet, woody and slightly minty. Satya is the incense house of Shrinivas Sugandhalaya, founded in Bangalore in 1964 and famous for its Nag Champa; its sticks are hand-rolled in the masala style. From the maker: This display box contains 6 packs of beautifully scented Palo Santo backflow incense cones developed by Satya. The cones are crafted using the highest quality ingredients to offer longlasting fragrance. Size: approximately 11 x 10 x 4cm, weighing about 90g. Allow for small variations between batches. ## Traditions (belief, not health claims) Incense holders have taken many forms, from Chinese bronze censers to the boat-shaped ash catchers of Indian homes. Backflow cones have a hollow core: the cooling smoke is heavier than air, so it sinks and pours over the burner's channels. We share these as cultural traditions and personal beliefs only, never as health claims. ## How to use - Empty ash once cool. - Never leave a lit flame unattended, and keep it away from curtains, children and pets. - Use backflow cones for the waterfall effect; ordinary cones and sticks smoke upward. - Set on a heat-proof spot away from draughts, which break up the flow of smoke. - Evening idea: light it as you switch off screens for the night, a simple cue to wind down. - Safety: always use a heat-proof holder on a stable surface, away from curtains, children and pets. - Ventilation: a slightly open window keeps scent pleasant and smoke light. ## Care - Wipe resin build-up with a damp cloth once cool; a cotton bud reaches small channels. ## Policies - Delivery: UK delivery £3.95, free over £40, 2–5 working days. UK addresses only. - Returns: You can cancel within 14 days of delivery under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations; email hello@starseeduk.co.uk to arrange a return and we refund within 14 days of receiving it back. - Payment: Payment is by debit or credit card (and the wallets Shopify supports) through secure Shopify checkout. ## Questions and answers (19) ### What is the Set of 6 Packets of Satya Palo Santo Backflow Dhoop Cones used for?
