## Description

Set of 6 Packets of Protection Spell Incense Sticks by Lisa Parker is incense made for ritual and atmosphere. Lit and left to smoulder, it releases a steady fragrant smoke that fills a room.

Protection candles are among the oldest folk-magic requests: lit at a threshold, on a windowsill or before a journey. Black and white are the traditional protection colours, and many practitioners light a protection candle on a Saturday, the day of Saturn. A common modern ritual is to write the names of those you want to keep safe on a slip of paper and set the candle on top.

Lisa Parker is a British wildlife and fantasy artist known for wolves, cats, dragons and moonlit scenes.

From the maker: A display box of 6 packs of Protection Spell (sandalwood) incense sticks, with each pack containing 20 individual sticks. Made from bamboo sticks, wood powder, tree bark powder, and high-quality fragrance, use these incense to set intentions and ward off evil.

Size: approximately 5.5 x 25 x 8.5cm, weighing about 295g. Allow for small variations between batches.

## Traditions (belief, not health claims)

In modern witchcraft and folk magic, incense is chosen by intention, and its smoke is said to carry a wish or prayer upward. These are beliefs and traditions. In India, hand-rolled masala sticks are made by coating a bamboo core with a paste of resins, herbs, flowers and wood powder, a craft passed down through families in Bangalore and Mysore. These are traditions and beliefs, described for interest, not health or medical claims.

## How to use

- For a protection ritual: a common modern ritual is to write the names of those you want to keep safe on a slip of paper and set the candle on top.
- Use a heat-proof burner or ash catcher.
- Ventilate the room and never leave it unattended.
- Light a single stick at the start of a reading, journalling session or meditation and stop when it burns out: a natural timer of 30–45 minutes.
- Try one scent for a week before switching, so you learn to recognise it.
- Gifting idea: pair it with a matching crystal or a holder for a ready-made ritual gift.
- Journalling idea: note the date, the moon phase and what you wished for, and look back a month later.
- Storage: keep spares somewhere cool and dark so colours and scents stay fresh.
