From the maker: This Ancient Wisdom Dropshipping Selenite Candle Holder is amazing! Selenite which is kind of translucent crystal allows the flame of the candle to flicker slightly through the walls of the candle holder. Size: approximately 8cm. Allow for small variations between batches. ## Traditions (belief, not health claims) Votive comes from the Latin votum, a vow: a votive light was lit as an offering or to keep a promise. Lighting a candle is one of the most widespread rituals, from church votives and Diwali diyas to a simple candle on a home altar. Selenite is named after Selene, the Greek goddess of the moon. In modern practice selenite plates and bowls are used to 'charge' or cleanse other crystals placed on them. We share these as cultural traditions and personal beliefs only, never as health claims. ## How to use - Use with tealights or the candle size given on the listing. - Stand it on a stable, heat-proof spot. - Never leave a lit flame unattended, and keep it away from curtains, children and pets. - Moon idea: the new moon is the traditional time for beginnings and the full moon for gratitude and release. - Evening idea: light it as you switch off screens for the night, a simple cue to wind down. - Safety: always use a heat-proof holder on a stable surface, away from curtains, children and pets. ## Care - Remove old wax once cool; a little warm water helps lift it from glass and ceramic. ## Policies - Delivery: UK delivery £3.95, free over £40, 2–5 working days.
