## Description

Selenite Moon Bowl - 10cm is a 10cm metal singing bowl. Struck or circled around the rim with a mallet, it produces a sustained tone with layered overtones that slowly fades.

At around 10cm this is the mid-sized option: big enough to notice on a shelf, small enough for a desk or windowsill. Mid sizes are the most versatile: they hold a bracelet or a handful of tumbles, or sit happily on a bedside table.

The Selenite Moon Bowl range comes in 2 versions. If 10cm isn't quite right, compare 15cm.

Size: approximately 10cm. Allow for small variations between batches.

## Traditions (belief, not health claims)

In meditation and sound practice, the bowl's fading tone is used as a focal point, and bowls are frequently played at the beginning and end of a session. Selenite is named after Selene, the Greek goddess of the moon. In modern practice selenite plates and bowls are used to 'charge' or cleanse other crystals placed on them. We share these as cultural traditions and personal beliefs only, never as health claims.

## How to use

- Stand the bowl on a cushion or your flat, open palm.
- Tap the outside wall lightly with the mallet to wake the bowl.
- Session idea: strike once at the start of a meditation and let the tone fade completely before you begin.
- Yoga idea: teachers often sound a bowl or bells to open savasana or to mark the close of class.
- Home idea: a short sound practice after work is a simple way to mark the switch from work to rest.

## Care

- Wipe with a soft, dry cloth after use; skin oils can mark the metal.
