Many spell candles include crystal chips, herbs or a printed theme. The Earth Mother is one of the oldest religious images, from the Venus of Willendorf to Gaia. Goddess figures draw on some of the oldest religious images, from the Venus of Willendorf to the Greek Gaia, and modern paganism honours the goddess through the phases of the moon. From the maker: Infuse your space with divine energy using the Selene Goddess Tube Candle, adorned with amethyst crystals. Inspired by the goddess of the moon, this elegant candle is designed to promote peace and balance. Size: approximately 21 x 5.5 x 5.5cm, weighing about 610g. Allow for small variations between batches. ## Traditions (belief, not health claims) Candle magic is one of the simplest folk-magic practices: a candle is chosen by colour or theme, an intention is set, and the candle is lit and left to burn safely. Colour associations are traditional and vary between practices; for example green with abundance, pink with love, white with new beginnings and black with protection. Its name comes from the Greek amethystos, 'not intoxicated', and in older European tradition it was carried as a stone of sobriety and calm thinking. Today it is one of the most popular stones for a quiet corner or meditation shelf. These are traditions and beliefs, described for interest, not health or medical claims. ## How to use - If it contains crystal chips, retrieve them from the wax once cool. - Stand it on a heat-proof plate or holder on a stable base. - Trim the wick to around 5mm before lighting. - Burn it away from draughts, curtains, children and pets, and never leave it unattended. - Moon idea: the new moon is the traditional time for beginnings and the full moon for gratitude and release. - Evening idea: light it as you switch off screens for the night, a simple cue to wind down. - Safety: always use a heat-proof holder on a stable surface, away from curtains, children and pets. ## Care - Store candles flat, somewhere cool and out of sunlight so the colour doesn't fade. ## Policies - Delivery: UK delivery £3.95, free over £40, 2–5 working days. UK addresses only. - Returns: You can cancel within 14 days of delivery under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations; email hello@starseeduk.co.uk to arrange a return and we refund within 14 days of receiving it back. - Payment: Payment is by debit or credit card (and the wallets Shopify supports) through secure Shopify checkout. ## Questions and answers (19) ### What is the Selene Goddess Tube Candle with Amethyst Crystals used for?
