A standard tarot deck has 78 cards: 22 major arcana and 56 minor arcana in four suits. Luck candles are often green, the folk colour of good fortune, and sometimes carry a horseshoe, clover or charm. Traditionally they are lit before a new venture, a test or a draw, often on the waxing moon. Pairing a luck candle with green aventurine, the 'gambler's stone', is a popular combination. Rose has been the scent of love since antiquity; in Sufi and Christian devotion it is linked with the divine and with the Virgin Mary. The fragrance is soft, floral and sweet. A moon-phase design traces the lunar cycle, the oldest calendar there is, from new moon to full and back. Yellow and gold are sun colours, associated with confidence, joy and success. Styling: yellow and gold catch the light on a sunny shelf and lift a north-facing room. From the maker: The Moon Phase Tarot shimmers with a soft rose gold glow, with lunar phase artwork on every one of its 78 cards. It is a lovely deck for anyone who enjoys moon rituals, new moon intentions or full moon reflections. Tarot & Oracle. Card deck and guidebook. ## Traditions (belief, not health claims) Today many readers use tarot for reflection: the imagery acts as a prompt to think through a question rather than a prediction. Tarot began as a 15th-century Italian card game; it was adopted for divination in 18th-century France and shaped by the Golden Dawn in Victorian London. Traditional meanings are offered for interest and reflection, not as a health claim. ## How to use - For a luck ritual: pairing a luck candle with green aventurine, the 'gambler's stone', is a popular combination. - Journal what each card brings to mind; meaning grows with practice. - Shuffle while holding a question in mind. - Start with a one-card daily draw or a three-card past–present–future spread. - Care idea: shuffle on a cloth to protect card edges. - Spread idea: a three-card spread (situation, challenge, advice) is a gentle place to start. - Journalling idea: keep a reading journal and revisit it at the next new moon. ## Care - Keep cards in their box or a cloth wrap away from damp. ## Policies - Delivery: UK delivery £3.95, free over £40, 2–5 working days.
