The Earth Mother is one of the oldest religious images, from the Venus of Willendorf to Gaia. Goddess figures draw on some of the oldest religious images, from the Venus of Willendorf to the Greek Gaia, and modern paganism honours the goddess through the phases of the moon. It is made from terracotta, fired clay with a matte, earthy finish; keep indoor pieces dry. From the maker: Celebrate lunar symbolism with this silver effect terracotta Moon Goddess plaque, detailed with celestial and botanical elements. Hang it in a bedroom, hallway or spiritual space as a decorative focal point with mystical character. Size: approximately 20 x 14 x 1.5cm, weighing about 405g. Allow for small variations between batches. ## Traditions (belief, not health claims) Outside those traditions, many people keep a Buddha figure as a symbol of calm and mindfulness. We describe this as cultural tradition; please showcase sacred figures respectfully, off the floor and out of bathrooms. In Buddhist and Hindu homes, statues are placed on a clean, raised shelf as a mark of respect, regularly facing the room or the entrance, with a candle, flowers or incense nearby. Traditional meanings are offered for interest and reflection, not as a health claim. ## How to use - Pair it with a tealight, a small plant or an incense holder for a simple meditation corner. - Place it at or above eye level on a shelf, mantel or altar. - Seasonal idea: refresh the altar at each festival of the Wheel of the Year, from Imbolc to Yule. - Small-space idea: a single shelf, a windowsill or a tray can hold a complete altar. - Gifting idea: ritual tools are personal; a gift card or a note inviting the recipient to choose can be just as welcome. ## Care - Dust with a gentle, dry brush; keep away from harsh cleaners on painted finishes. ## Policies - Delivery: UK delivery £3.95, free over £40, 2–5 working days.
