## Description

Large Charging Plate 18cm - Sacred Geometry is made from selenite, about 18cm, a fine, silky-white crystal with a natural fibrous glow.

The Sacral chakra, Svadhisthana in Sanskrit, sits at just below the navel in yogic tradition and is associated with creativity, pleasure and flow. Its traditional colour is orange, its element is water and its seed sound (bija mantra) is VAM.

Sacred geometry covers shapes such as the Seed of Life and Metatron's Cube, seen in traditional thought as patterns behind nature.

At around 18cm this is the large, statement option: a centrepiece for a dresser, altar or sound space. Large pieces hold a whole collection of stones or jewellery and give the deepest, fullest presence in a room.

From the maker: The Large Charging Plate with Sacred Geometry Design is a stunning and functional piece of home decor made from natural selenite, a translucent mineral with calming and soothing properties. This charging plate measures 18cm in diameter and features a unique sacred geometry design.

The Large Charging Plate 18cm range comes in 2 versions. If Sacred Geometry isn't quite right, compare Feng Shui.

Selenite is a crystalline form of gypsum, soft enough to scratch with a fingernail, typically pearly white with a silky sheen. It measures 2 on the Mohs hardness scale. Natural gypsum.

The Cave of the Crystals in Naica, Mexico, holds selenite beams over 10 metres long.

Size: approximately 18cm. Natural material varies slightly in size, colour and markings.

## Traditions (belief, not health claims)

In modern crystal practice, selenite plates and bowls are used to cleanse or 'charge' other crystals and jewellery placed on them overnight, especially under a full moon. Selenite is named after Selene, the Greek goddess of the moon. In modern practice selenite plates and bowls are used to 'charge' or cleanse other crystals placed on them. In modern crystal tradition selenite is linked with the crown chakra and with Taurus and Cancer. Traditional meanings are offered for interest and reflection, not as a health claim.

## How to use

- To work with the Sacral Chakra, many practitioners play or place it while focusing on just below the navel.
- Use it as a bright, moonlike accent on an altar or bedside table.
- Set other crystals or jewellery on it overnight as a cleansing ritual.
- It pairs traditionally with any crystal you want to rest on it.
- Dressing-table idea: use it as a landing place for jewellery so pieces aren't scattered.
- Altar idea: its pearly white suits a moon altar beside a candle and a small bowl of water (kept well apart).
- Gifting idea: selenite is lightweight and inexpensive to post, so it makes an easy gift for a crystal-loving friend.

## Care

- It is very soft; handle with care and keep away from damp rooms.
