## Description

Gothic Rose Cathedral Arch Bookends is a decorative piece for the wall or shelf with a magical, folklore-inspired design for everyday use.

Rose has been the scent of love since antiquity; in Sufi and Christian devotion it is linked with the divine and with the Virgin Mary. The fragrance is soft, floral and sweet.

The gothic rose draws on cathedral rose windows and the Victorian language of flowers, where a dark rose meant farewell or deep love.

It is cast in resin and hand-painted, which keeps it light and allows fine detail; display it indoors.

From the maker: Keep favourite novels standing tall with this pair of gothic rose cathedral arch resin bookends, featuring dramatic window-inspired detailing and striking red roses. A practical statement piece for home libraries, studies and gifts for readers who fill their shelves with dark romance, fantasy and classic tales.

Size: approximately 17.5 x 10 x 10cm, weighing about 1395g. Allow for small variations between batches.

## Traditions (belief, not health claims)

Brooms, cauldrons, potion bottles and moons became the visual language of witches through folklore, Victorian illustration and film. Hearth and home sit at the heart of folk witchcraft: the 'kitchen witch' tradition finds magic in everyday tasks such as brewing tea, tending plants and keeping a tidy threshold. Traditional meanings are offered for interest and reflection, not as a health claim.

## How to use

- Group it with candles, plants and books for a cosy witchy shelf.
- Use it every day or keep it on display as a seasonal piece for Samhain and Halloween.
- Care idea: dust regularly and keep it away from direct heat and damp.
- Display idea: odd numbers of objects (one, three or five) look most natural on a shelf.
- Storage idea: a box or chest keeps cards, crystals and keepsakes together and dust-free.

## Care

- Hand wash where relevant and dry straight away; check the listing for dishwasher or food-safe notes.
