Chips are small tumbled pieces of stone that fill the chamber with colour. From the maker: The Amethyst Gemstone Dome Garden is a stunning handcrafted piece, designed to bring peace, clarity, and positive energy into any space. Encased in an elegant glass dome, this gemstone tree is both a meaningful spiritual item and a sophisticated décor piece. Amethyst is a purple variety of quartz, typically violet to deep purple. It measures 7 on the Mohs hardness scale. Natural quartz. Colour comes from traces of iron and natural irradiation. African amethyst is often a deeper, more saturated purple than Brazilian material. Chevron amethyst shows bands of purple and milky white quartz in a V-shaped pattern. ## Traditions (belief, not health claims) Carving stone into meaningful shapes is an ancient art, from Chinese jade to Egyptian scarabs. A shape adds its own symbolism to the stone. Hearts are traditional love tokens; trees symbolise growth and connection; planets and spheres evoke the cosmos. Its name comes from the Greek amethystos, 'not intoxicated', and in older European tradition it was carried as a stone of sobriety and calm thinking. Today it is one of the most popular stones for a quiet corner or meditation shelf. In modern crystal tradition amethyst is linked with the crown and third eye chakra and with Pisces, Aquarius and Virgo. Traditional meanings are offered for interest and reflection, not as a health claim. ## How to use - Set it on a desk, bedside table or altar where you'll see it. - Hold it during a few minutes of quiet reflection. - It pairs traditionally with selenite or clear quartz. - Journalling idea: note the date you bought it and what drew you to it; collectors enjoy looking back on how a collection grew. - Shelf idea: group stones by colour, from deep to pale, for a display that reads like a gradient. - Meditation idea: rest it in an open palm and use its weight and temperature as a point of focus for five slow breaths. ## Care - Wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry it straight away; skip soaps, salt and long soaks. Strong sunlight can fade amethyst over time, so show it out of direct sun. - Dust regularly and keep away from hard surfaces that could chip it. ## Policies - Delivery: UK delivery £3.95, free over £40, 2–5 working days.
