## Description

Extra Loud - Mushroom Singing Bowl - Purple Haze (23x10.5cm, 1.3kg) is a 23x10.5cm metal singing bowl. Struck or circled around the rim with a mallet, it produces a sustained tone with layered overtones that slowly fades.

The owl was the companion of Athena, goddess of wisdom, and a bird of night magic in British folklore.

Purple has been the colour of royalty and the spiritual since Tyrian dye cost more than gold; in candle and chakra tradition it is linked with the crown. Styling: purple sits well against grey, cream and brass, and looks rich in a dim, lamp-lit corner.

At around 10.5cm this is the mid-sized option: big enough to notice on a shelf, small enough for a desk or windowsill. Mid sizes are the most versatile: they hold a bracelet or a handful of tumbles, or sit happily on a bedside table.

From the maker: Bring a bold visual and acoustic presence to your meditation space with the Purple Haze Mushroom Singing Bowl. Measuring approximately 23cm wide and 10.5cm high with a 1.3kg weight, this substantial piece stands out for its deep, resonant sound and unique etched design.

The Extra Loud range comes in 4 versions. If Mushroom Singing Bowl - Purple Haze (23x10.5cm, 1.3kg) isn't quite right, compare Singing Bowl - Five Buddha or Singing Bowl - One Buddha or Mushroom Singing Bowl - Moss Green (23x10.5cm, 1.3kg).

Size: approximately 23x10.5cm, weighing about 1.3kg. Allow for small variations between batches.

## Traditions (belief, not health claims)

Engraved designs such as mandalas, the Om symbol or the Buddha are decorative and devotional; they reflect the traditions the bowls come from. These are traditions and beliefs, described for interest, not health or medical claims.

## How to use

- Tap the outside wall lightly with the mallet to wake the bowl.
- Circle the rim slowly with even pressure; once it starts to sing, keep the speed steady.
- Group idea: in sound baths, players space bowls of different sizes around the room for layered tones.
- Practice tip: record yourself playing on your phone; it is the quickest way to hear whether your pressure is steady.
- Neighbour tip: rim playing is quieter than striking if you live in a flat.

## Care

- Avoid harsh polish on engraved or coloured finishes.
