It is cast in resin and hand-painted, which keeps it light and allows fine detail; display it indoors. The Buddha, Siddhartha Gautama, taught in northern India around the 5th century BCE. Statues show him in mudras, hand gestures that each carry a meaning, such as touching the earth or turning the wheel of the teachings. From the maker: Antique bronze effect incense stick holder featuring the seven colours of the Chakra and a meditating Buddha. A striking and unique design that will make a great home decor ornament as much as a home scenting accessory. Size: approximately 23.5 x 6.5 x 7cm, weighing about 431g. Allow for small variations between batches. ## Traditions (belief, not health claims) Backflow cones have a hollow core: the cooling smoke is heavier than air, so it sinks and pours over the burner's channels. Incense holders have taken many forms, from Chinese bronze censers to the boat-shaped ash catchers of Indian homes. The chakra system comes from Indian tantric and yogic traditions, which describe seven energy centres from the root to the crown, each traditionally given a colour. These are traditions and beliefs, described for interest, not health or medical claims. ## How to use - Never leave a lit flame unattended, and keep it away from curtains, children and pets. - Use backflow cones for the waterfall effect; ordinary cones and sticks smoke upward. - Stand on a heat-proof base away from draughts, which break up the flow of smoke. - Empty ash once cool. - Moon idea: the new moon is the traditional time for beginnings and the full moon for gratitude and release. - Evening idea: light it as you switch off screens for the night, a simple cue to wind down. - Safety: always use a heat-proof holder on a stable surface, away from curtains, children and pets. ## Care - Wipe resin build-up with a damp cloth once cool; a cotton bud reaches small channels. ## Policies - Delivery: UK delivery £3.95, free over £40, 2–5 working days.
