## Description

Celestial Cottage Oil Burner is a tealight oil burner: a small dish of water and oil sits above a tealight and softly warms to scent a room.

Stars have guided navigators and storytellers for millennia; celestial designs bring the night sky indoors.

It is made from glazed ceramic, so wipe it clean rather than scrubbing and handle it with care.

From the maker: Call on air magic with this Celestial Cottage oil burner, featuring a pointed starry roof, crescent moon details and a dreamy celestial design. Ideal for solstice displays, meditation spaces and adding a mystical touch to the home.

Size: approximately 17.5 x 9.5 x 9.5cm, weighing about 365g. Allow for small variations between batches.

## Traditions (belief, not health claims)

In modern home ritual, a favourite scent marks a change of mood, such as lighting the burner when work ends for the day. Scenting a room with warmed oils has ancient roots: Egyptian, Greek and Roman homes burned perfumed oils in clay lamps. Traditional meanings are offered for interest and reflection, not as a health claim.

## How to use

- Light a tealight underneath and never let the dish run dry.
- Stand it on a heat-proof surface; the dish gets hot.
- Never leave a lit flame unattended, and keep it away from curtains, children and pets.
- Fill the dish with water, then add a few drops of oil, or drop one wax melt in the dish without water.
- Storage: keep spares somewhere cool and dark so colours and scents stay fresh.
- Ritual idea: write your intention on a slip of paper, read it aloud, then light the candle or incense.
- Moon idea: the new moon is the traditional time for beginnings and the full moon for gratitude and release.

## Care

- Let it cool fully before cleaning. For wax, freeze the dish for ten minutes and the wax pops out.
