Struck or circled around the rim with a mallet, it produces a sustained tone with layered overtones that slowly fades. The toadstool is a fairy-tale symbol of the otherworld in British and European folklore, from fairy rings to Alice in Wonderland. Blue is associated with calm, the sea and the throat chakra, and with peace and honest speech in candle magic. Styling: blue tones suit coastal, Scandinavian and white-washed rooms, and look calm beside green plants. At around 15cm this is the large, statement option: a centrepiece for a dresser, altar or sound space. Large pieces hold a whole collection of stones or jewellery and give the deepest, fullest presence in a room. From the maker: This Magic Mushroom Cauldron Singing Bowl blends calming sound with eye-catching mystical design. Finished in deep black with engraved blue mushroom and floral artwork, it brings a moody, celestial feel to meditation spaces, altars, yoga rooms, or boho-inspired interiors. This is one of 3 options in the Cauldron Singing Bowl range; nearby choices include Magic Mushroom - Green (15cm), Magic Mushroom - Yellow (15cm). Size: approximately 15cm. Allow for small variations between batches. ## Traditions (belief, not health claims) Engraved designs such as mandalas, the Om symbol or the Buddha are decorative and devotional; they reflect the traditions the bowls come from. Traditional meanings are offered for interest and reflection, not as a health claim. ## How to use - Rest the bowl on a cushion or your flat, open palm. - Tap the outside wall with care with the mallet to wake the bowl. - Session idea: strike once at the start of a meditation and let the tone fade completely before you begin. - Yoga idea: teachers often sound a bowl or bells to open savasana or to mark the close of class. - Home idea: a short sound practice after work is a simple way to mark the switch from work to rest. ## Care - Wipe with a gentle, dry cloth after use; skin oils can mark the metal. ## Policies - Delivery: UK delivery £3.95, free over £40, 2–5 working days.
