The triple moon shows waxing, full and waning moons, the maiden, mother and crone of modern paganism. Black is the traditional colour of protection and of banishing what is unwanted. Styling: black looks dramatic on a gothic altar and crisp against white walls. It is made from glazed ceramic, so wipe it clean rather than scrubbing and handle it with care. From the maker: This black ceramic oil burner features a cutout triple moon design and a cool, matt finish. Compatible with both fragrance oil and wax and perfect for Halloween or spooky decor!. Size: approximately 10 x 9 x 9cm, weighing about 301g. Allow for small variations between batches. ## Traditions (belief, not health claims) In modern home ritual, a favourite scent marks a change of mood, such as lighting the burner when work ends for the day. Scenting a room with warmed oils has ancient roots: Egyptian, Greek and Roman homes burned perfumed oils in clay lamps. Traditional meanings are offered for interest and reflection, not as a health claim. ## How to use - Never leave a lit flame unattended, and keep it away from curtains, children and pets. - Fill the dish with water, then add a few drops of oil, or drop one wax melt in the dish without water. - Light a tealight underneath and never let the dish run dry. - Stand it on a heat-proof spot; the dish gets hot. - Moon idea: the new moon is the traditional time for beginnings and the full moon for gratitude and release. - Evening idea: light it as you switch off screens for the night, a simple cue to wind down. - Safety: always use a heat-proof holder on a stable surface, away from curtains, children and pets. ## Care - Let it cool fully before cleaning. For wax, freeze the dish for ten minutes and the wax pops out. ## Policies - Delivery: UK delivery £3.95, free over £40, 2–5 working days.
