## Description

Black Rose Resin Tealight Candle Holder is a decorative holder for tealights, made to throw a warm glow around a room or altar.

Rose has been the scent of love since antiquity; in Sufi and Christian devotion it is linked with the divine and with the Virgin Mary. The fragrance is soft, floral and sweet.

The gothic rose draws on cathedral rose windows and the Victorian language of flowers, where a dark rose meant farewell or deep love.

Black is the traditional colour of protection and of banishing what is unwanted. Styling: black looks dramatic on a gothic altar and crisp against white walls.

It is cast in resin and hand-painted, which keeps it light and allows fine detail; display it indoors.

From the maker: This enchanting black rose tealight holder adds a touch of timeless beauty to any space. Made of resin and intricately crafted, this tealight holder creates a romantic ambience and accommodates a standard single tealight.

Size: approximately 4.5 x 11 x 11cm, weighing about 210g. Allow for small variations between batches.

## Traditions (belief, not health claims)

Lighting a candle is one of the most widespread rituals, from church votives and Diwali diyas to a simple candle on a home altar. Votive comes from the Latin votum, a vow: a votive light was lit as an offering or to keep a promise. These are traditions and beliefs, described for interest, not health or medical claims.

## How to use

- Stand it on a stable, heat-proof base.
- Never leave a lit flame unattended, and keep it away from curtains, children and pets.
- Use with tealights or the candle size given on the listing.
- Journalling idea: note the date, the moon phase and what you wished for, and look back a month later.
- Storage: keep spares somewhere cool and dark so colours and scents stay fresh.
- Ritual idea: write your intention on a slip of paper, read it aloud, then light the candle or incense.

## Care

- Remove old wax once cool; a little warm water helps lift it from glass and ceramic.
