## Description

Black Cat Book of Spells Oil Burner and Wax Warmer are scented wax melts: small pieces of fragranced wax that release their scent when warmed in a burner, with no wick.

Black cats were the familiars of witches in British folklore; sailors and many in Britain still count a black cat crossing your path as good luck.

Black is the traditional colour of protection and of banishing what is unwanted. Styling: black looks dramatic on a gothic altar and crisp against white walls.

It is made from glazed ceramic, so wipe it clean rather than scrubbing and handle it with care.

From the maker: Add a mystical touch to any space with this striking oil burner and wax warmer, designed to look like a trio of spell books stacked neatly on a shelf and adorned with black cat details. Perfect for filling the home with favourite fragrances, it makes a thoughtful gift for cat lovers and fans of witchy home accessories.

Size: approximately 15.5 x 12 x 11.5cm, weighing about 830g. Allow for small variations between batches.

## Traditions (belief, not health claims)

In modern home ritual, a favourite scent marks a change of mood, such as lighting the burner when work ends for the day. Scenting a room with warmed oils has ancient roots: Egyptian, Greek and Roman homes burned perfumed oils in clay lamps. We share these as cultural traditions and personal beliefs only, never as health claims.

## How to use

- Never leave a lit flame unattended, and keep it away from curtains, children and pets.
- Fill the dish with water, then add a few drops of oil, or drop one wax melt in the dish without water.
- Light a tealight underneath and never let the dish run dry.
- Stand it on a heat-proof spot; the dish gets hot.
- Gifting idea: pair it with a matching crystal or a holder for a ready-made ritual gift.
- Journalling idea: note the date, the moon phase and what you wished for, and look back a month later.
- Storage: keep spares somewhere cool and dark so colours and scents stay fresh.

## Care

- Let it cool fully before cleaning. For wax, freeze the dish for ten minutes and the wax pops out.
