## Description

Apple Incense Holder is a holder that keeps burning incense steady and catches the falling ash.

The apple is a symbol of knowledge, temptation and the otherworld: Avalon itself means 'isle of apples'. Cutting an apple across reveals a five-pointed star, which is why apples feature in Samhain and autumn rituals.

It is made from glazed ceramic, so wipe it clean rather than scrubbing and handle it with care.

From the maker: Enjoy the simple things with this beautifully crafted ceramic incense holder in the shape of a sweet, red apple. Perfect for creating a peaceful atmosphere or gifting to someone who loves quirky home accessories.

Size: approximately 2 x 10 x 9.5cm, weighing about 95g. Allow for small variations between batches.

## Traditions (belief, not health claims)

Incense holders have taken many forms, from Chinese bronze censers to the boat-shaped ash catchers of Indian homes. Backflow cones have a hollow core: the cooling smoke is heavier than air, so it sinks and pours over the burner's channels. We share these as cultural traditions and personal beliefs only, never as health claims.

## How to use

- For a sinful apple ritual: cutting an apple across reveals a five-pointed star, which is why apples feature in Samhain and autumn rituals.
- Empty ash once cool.
- Never leave a lit flame unattended, and keep it away from curtains, children and pets.
- Use backflow cones for the waterfall effect; ordinary cones and sticks smoke upward.
- Set on a heat-proof spot away from draughts, which break up the flow of smoke.
- Journalling idea: note the date, the moon phase and what you wished for, and look back a month later.
- Storage: keep spares somewhere cool and dark so colours and scents stay fresh.
- Ritual idea: write your intention on a slip of paper, read it aloud, then light the candle or incense.

## Care

- Wipe resin build-up with a damp cloth once cool; a cotton bud reaches small channels.
