Angels as winged messengers appear in Jewish, Christian and Islamic tradition and are a popular symbol of guardianship. It is made from glazed ceramic, so wipe it clean rather than scrubbing and handle it with care. From the maker: This elegant oil burner has been thoughtfully crafted to symbolise an angel wing, offering a deep bowl for holding favourite scents of fragrance oils or wax melts. Size: approximately 10.8 x 11.5 x 9cm, weighing about 369g. Allow for small variations between batches. ## Traditions (belief, not health claims) In modern home ritual, a favourite scent marks a change of mood, such as lighting the burner when work ends for the day. Scenting a room with warmed oils has ancient roots: Egyptian, Greek and Roman homes burned perfumed oils in clay lamps. These are traditions and beliefs, described for interest, not health or medical claims. ## How to use - Light a tealight underneath and never let the dish run dry. - Stand it on a heat-proof surface; the dish gets hot. - Never leave a lit flame unattended, and keep it away from curtains, children and pets. - Fill the dish with water, then add a few drops of oil, or drop one wax melt in the dish without water. - Safety: always use a heat-proof holder on a stable surface, away from curtains, children and pets. - Ventilation: a slightly open window keeps scent pleasant and smoke light. - Gifting idea: pair it with a matching crystal or a holder for a ready-made ritual gift. ## Care - Let it cool fully before cleaning. For wax, freeze the dish for ten minutes and the wax pops out. ## Policies - Delivery: UK delivery £3.95, free over £40, 2–5 working days.
