Angels as winged messengers appear in Jewish, Christian and Islamic tradition and are a popular symbol of guardianship. It is made from glazed ceramic, so wipe it clean rather than scrubbing and handle it with care. From the maker: Let fragrance take flight with this ceramic oil burner, featuring an angel-shaped cut-out that glows beautifully when a tealight is lit inside. Suitable for fragrance oils and wax melts, it brings a soft, serene touch to peaceful interiors and meaningful gift displays. Size: approximately 11 x 10 x 10cm, weighing about 425g. Allow for small variations between batches. ## Traditions (belief, not health claims) Scenting a room with warmed oils has ancient roots: Egyptian, Greek and Roman homes burned perfumed oils in clay lamps. In modern home ritual, a favourite scent marks a change of mood, such as lighting the burner when work ends for the day. Traditional meanings are offered for interest and reflection, not as a health claim. ## How to use - Stand it on a heat-proof base; the dish gets hot. - Never leave a lit flame unattended, and keep it away from curtains, children and pets. - Fill the dish with water, then add a few drops of oil, or drop one wax melt in the dish without water. - Light a tealight underneath and never let the dish run dry. - Journalling idea: note the date, the moon phase and what you wished for, and look back a month later. - Storage: keep spares somewhere cool and dark so colours and scents stay fresh. - Ritual idea: write your intention on a slip of paper, read it aloud, then light the candle or incense. ## Care - Let it cool fully before cleaning. For wax, freeze the dish for ten minutes and the wax pops out. ## Policies - Delivery: UK delivery £3.95, free over £40, 2–5 working days.
