Cleansing candles are traditionally white and are lit after a clear-out, a house move or a difficult week. The waning moon, as the light shrinks, is the traditional time for cleansing and letting go. Many people open a window while a cleansing candle burns as a symbol of letting stale energy out. From the maker: This cleansing incense brings a cool, smoky oud aroma that feels grounding from the first spark. It’s made for moments when you want to reset the room, clear stale energy, or simply create a calmer atmosphere. This is one of 5 options in the Ancient Witch Spell Incense range; nearby choices include Love - Rose Quartz Pendulum, Prosperity - Aventurine Pendulum, Seduction - Amethyst Pendulum. Clear Quartz is silicon dioxide, the most common crystal on Earth, typically water-clear to milky white. It measures 7 on the Mohs hardness scale. Natural quartz, silicon dioxide. Rock crystal was carved into vessels by Fatimid Egyptian craftsmen around 1,000 years ago. Quartz is piezoelectric, which is why it keeps time in quartz watches. ## Traditions (belief, not health claims) Some owners treat the pendulum as a tool for reflection, a way to notice what they already feel about a decision. Clear quartz has been carved into crystal balls and lenses for centuries. Modern crystal traditions call it a 'master' stone, believed to amplify an intention or the stones placed around it. In modern crystal tradition clear quartz is linked with the crown (and all chakras in many systems) chakra and with all signs, especially Aries and Leo. We share these as cultural traditions and personal beliefs only, never as health claims. ## How to use - For a cleansing ritual: many people open a window while a cleansing candle burns as a symbol of letting stale energy out. - Hold the chain between finger and thumb and let the weight settle. - Ask it to show you 'yes' and 'no' to learn its swing. - It pairs traditionally with almost any stone; it is the classic companion piece. - Placement idea: a windowsill that catches the morning light (but not harsh midday sun) shows off colour and inclusions beautifully. - Desk idea: keep it beside your keyboard as a cue to pause, breathe and look away from the screen for a moment. - Bedside idea: some people hold a stone for a minute before sleep and set one small intention for the next day. ## Care - Wipe with a gentle, slightly damp cloth and dry it straight away; keep away from soaps, salt and long soaks. - Store it in a pouch so the chain doesn't tangle. ## Policies - Delivery: UK delivery £3.95, free over £40, 2–5 working days. UK addresses only. - Returns: You can cancel within 14 days of delivery under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations; email hello@starseeduk.co.uk to arrange a return and we refund within 14 days of receiving it back. - Payment: Payment is by debit or credit card (and the wallets Shopify supports) through secure Shopify checkout. ## Other versions - [Ancient Witch Spell Incense - Love - Rose Quartz Pendulum](https://www.starseeduk.co.uk/products/ancient-witch-spell-incense-love-rose-quartz-pendulum005): £7.95 - [Ancient Witch Spell Incense - Prosperity - Aventurine Pendulum](https://www.starseeduk.co.uk/products/ancient-witch-spell-incense-prosperity-aventurine-pendulum030): £7.95 - [Ancient Witch Spell Incense - Seduction - Amethyst Pendulum](https://www.starseeduk.co.uk/products/ancient-witch-spell-incense-seduction-amethyst-pendulum044): £7.95 - [Ancient Witch Spell Incense - Success - Black Obsidian Pendulum](https://www.starseeduk.co.uk/products/ancient-witch-spell-incense-success-black-obsidian-pendulum040): £7.95 ## Questions and answers (19) ### What is the Ancient Witch Spell Incense - Cleansing - Rock Crystal Pendulum used for?
