Struck or circled around the rim with a mallet, it produces a sustained tone with layered overtones that slowly fades. The toadstool is a fairy-tale symbol of the otherworld in British and European folklore, from fairy rings to Alice in Wonderland. Green is the folk colour of growth, luck and abundance and of the heart chakra. Styling: green brings the outdoors in; pair it with plants, rattan and natural wood. At around 20cm this is the large, statement option: a centrepiece for a dresser, altar or sound space. Large pieces hold a whole collection of stones or jewellery and give the deepest, fullest presence in a room. From the maker: Decorated with engraved mushroom and botanical artwork across the interior, it blends woodland-inspired symbolism with calming spiritual aesthetics. Made from lightweight aluminium, it is comfortable to handle and offers a durable, decorative finish. The black outer surface contrasts beautifully with the shimmering green detailing, creating a nature-inspired look that fits effortlessly into boho interiors, crystal displays, incense collections, and alternative wellness spaces. This is one of 3 options in the Aluminum Singing Bowl range; nearby choices include Magic Mushroom - Pink (20cm), Magic Mushroom - Blue (20cm). Size: approximately 20cm. Allow for small variations between batches. ## Traditions (belief, not health claims) Singing bowls are associated with the Himalayan region. Bowls made there have customarily been hand-hammered or cast from metal alloys, and many carry engraved mantras or symbols. Traditional meanings are offered for interest and reflection, not as a health claim. ## How to use - Tap the outside wall gently with the mallet to wake the bowl. - Circle the rim slowly with even pressure; once it starts to sing, keep the speed steady. - Group idea: in sound baths, players space bowls of different sizes around the room for layered tones. - Practice tip: record yourself playing on your phone; it is the quickest way to hear whether your pressure is steady. - Neighbour tip: rim playing is quieter than striking if you live in a flat. ## Care - Avoid harsh polish on engraved or coloured finishes. ## Policies - Delivery: UK delivery £3.95, free over £40, 2–5 working days.
