Many spell candles include crystal chips, herbs or a printed theme. From the maker: A Love Never Lost, our 2021 candle competition winner, is a black candle scented with Lavender and infused with Rainbow Moonstone and Rose Quartz crystal chips, created for anyone remembering someone they have lost. Its maker dedicated it to her Grandad and Dad. Candles. One spell candle. ## Traditions (belief, not health claims) Colour associations are traditional and vary between practices; for example green with abundance, pink with love, white with new beginnings and black with protection. Many practitioners time a candle to the moon, lighting it at the new moon for beginnings or the full moon for gratitude. These are traditions and beliefs, described for interest, not health or medical claims. ## How to use - Rest it on a heat-proof plate or holder on a stable surface. - Trim the wick to around 5mm before lighting. - Burn it away from draughts, curtains, children and pets, and never leave it unattended. - If it contains crystal chips, retrieve them from the wax once cool. - Ventilation: a slightly open window keeps scent pleasant and smoke light. - Gifting idea: pair it with a matching crystal or a holder for a ready-made ritual gift. - Journalling idea: note the date, the moon phase and what you wished for, and look back a month later. ## Care - Store candles flat, somewhere cool and out of sunlight so the colour doesn't fade. ## Policies - Delivery: UK delivery £3.95, free over £40, 2–5 working days.
