## In astrology

Pluto, a dwarf planet still used in astrology, stands for deep change and power. It is retrograde for about five months each year.

We share astrology as tradition and for reflection, not as prediction.

## The astronomy

Pluto orbits outside Earth's orbit. It looks retrograde when Earth overtakes it, around the time it is opposite the Sun in our sky, which is also when it is brightest and best placed to see.

Dates here are the 'stations', the moments the planet's apparent motion along the ecliptic stops and reverses, worked out with astronomy-engine to the nearest minute or so.
