Tingsha are a pair of small cymbals joined by a cord, traditionally used in Tibetan Buddhist practice. Their bright, ringing tone is often used to open or close a meditation.

## Step by step

- **Step 1.** Hold the cord so the two cymbals hang facing each other.
- **Step 2.** Let them swing gently together, edge to edge, so they touch lightly.
- **Step 3.** Listen as the tone rings and fades.
- **Step 4.** Ring once to begin quiet time and again to close it.

## Looking after it

- Keep the cord untangled and dry.
- Polish with a soft cloth.

## Safety

- The ring is loud close to the ear; hold them at chest height.
